Client and Vendor Holiday Gifts: Why August Is Not Too Early

Why planning custom engraved client and vendor holiday gifts in August, not December, gets you better options and no rush shipping.

It's the middle of August and the last thing most people want to think about is holiday gifts. But if you're the one responsible for client or vendor gifts this year, this is actually the best time to start, not December.

Every year we watch the same thing happen. Businesses wait until the first week of December, then find out the item they wanted is backordered, or there's no time left to personalize anything, or shipping alone is going to cost more than the gift did.

What Changes If You Order Early

    • You get first pick of materials and styles instead of whatever's left
    • There's time to approve a proof before it goes into production
    • Bulk orders can be spread out over weeks instead of rushed in days
    • Standard shipping works fine, no need to pay extra to get it there in time

    Client Gifts vs. Vendor Gifts

These two lists usually call for different things. Client gifts tend to do better with something that feels personal, like a walnut gift box with their name or company on it. Vendor and partner gifts can lean a little more practical, something like an engraved desk item people will actually use in the new year.

    Keeping a List Consistent

If you're gifting a whole list of people, we can hold one base design, same box, same layout, and just swap in each name. That keeps everything looking intentional instead of like it was pulled together at the last minute, and it's a lot easier to manage on our end too.

What We Need to Get Started

    • A rough headcount, even if it's not final yet
    • Your logo file if you want it included
    • A budget range per gift
    • Your target delivery week
