What Works Best for Pet Memorials
Wood ornaments and plaques are the most popular choice. Walnut and maple engrave cleanly and have a warm, natural look that suits the subject. We also do stone-look 3D printed pieces and acrylic plaques for a more modern feel.
What to Include
Most people go with the pet's name and years. Some add a short line like "Best Boy" or "Forever in Our Hearts." A simple paw print outline or a silhouette of the breed adds a lot without cluttering the design.
Photos on Wood and Acrylic
We can engrave a photo onto wood or acrylic. Wood gives a warm, rustic look with natural grain showing through. Acrylic produces a sharper, more photographic result. For best results, send a well-lit, high-contrast photo with the pet's face clearly visible.
What to Avoid
- Long paragraphs of text — they don't engrave well on small surfaces
- Photos with busy backgrounds or multiple pets in one frame
- Low-resolution images pulled from social media
- Fine details that will blur on wood grain
Sizing and Turnaround
Ornaments are about 3 inches. Plaques range from 4x6 to 8x10. We can do larger if you want something for a wall or shelf. Memorial pieces are typically 3-5 business days. If you need it sooner, let us know and we'll see what we can do.
